SUMMARY:Wealth\, Legacy\, and Community: Building Impact in Central Texas
DESCRIPTION:The largest transfer of wealth in history is underway\, and its effects are already being felt in Central Texas. As tech entrepreneurs\, longtime residents\, and new families alike make decisions about their legacies\, the role of gift planning has never been more critical. This session will explore how the Great Wealth Transfer and the rise of next-generation donors are reshaping philanthropy—both nationally and here in Austin. We’ll highlight practical gift planning tools\, from bequests to complex asset gifts\, and discuss how nonprofits and advisors can collaborate to turn donor intent into lasting community impact. Real-world examples will illustrate how generosity can be structured for both flexibility and sustainability. Attendees will leave with fresh insights into the future of philanthropy and practical strategies for guiding transformational gifts. \n  \nStephanie Sessa\, CAP®\nSenior Donor Relations Officer\, Austin Community Foundation \nStephanie Sessa\, CAP®\, brings fifteen years of nonprofit leadership experience\, spanning strategy\, development\, and operations\, in her role as Senior Donor Relations Officer at Austin Community Foundation (ACF). Driven by her passion for community-building\, Stephanie acts as a bridge between fundholders’ philanthropic goals\, professional advisors helping their clients\, and ACF’s strategic priorities\, delivering thoughtful\, values-aligned support. \n  \nA CAP® (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) designee\, she brings advanced expertise in donor advised funds\, philanthropic advising\, and creative giving vehicles—enhancing ACF’s ability to guide donors toward meaningful impact in Central Texas. Before joining ACF\, Stephanie served as Managing Director of Strategic Projects at KIPP Texas Public Schools\, where she honed her strategic planning and project management abilities\, and has also worked as a fundraiser. She holds a BS from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MS from the London School of Economics & Political Science. \n  \nWhen she’s not supporting donors and advisors\, Stephanie loves exploring Austin’s vibrant food scene\, spending time outdoors (especially in the water) with her husband and daughter\, and indulging her interests in Peloton\, reading\, and travel. \nSave the Date! \nMore information coming soon. \nRSVP for this luncheon
