DESCRIPTION:Part One of the Presentation will address a clear picture of the current trends in the digital space. This overview will provide greater context and confidence in moving forward with more challenging and labor intensive digital strategies and tactics. In this overview\, Mr. Christensen will cover Internet connectivity\, mobile device penetration\, social network reach\, digital data ubiquity\, and how this is impacting fundraising. \nPart Two of the Presentation will cover specific digital strategies and tactics for the planned gift officers. Mr. Christensen will paint a theoretical picture as well as review practical examples. Finally\, Mr. Christensen will demonstrate application on several digital targeting and engagement tools. \n  \nSpeaker:\nBarett T. Christensen\nSenior Associate at Bentz Whaley Flessner \nBarett is a senior associate at Bentz Whaley Flessner specializing in digital and social media engagement. With 11 years in digital\, he has helped organizations raise millions of dollars using social media. He is a recognized expert in social advertising and campaign strategy\, multivariate audience segmentation and wealth targeting\, message and channel selection\, and real-time campaign analysis and optimization. \nBefore joining the firm\, Barett served as professor and director of the Social Media Marketing Department at LDS Business College\, where he developed the first accredited degree and certificate in Social Media Marketing. Previously\, Barett led development teams at Brigham Young University in marketing and communications\, donor engagement and stewardship\, planned giving\, prospect research\, and portfolio management. Barett’s first role in fundraising was as a development officer. \nBarett earned a Masters of Public Administration from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Brigham Young University. Barett is a Certified Fundraising Executive\, Facebook Certified Advertiser\, and a Certified Quality Process Analyst. \n
