April Hampton Perez

April Hampton Perez received her Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, and she earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston.
Her first fund-raising experience was with the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast in Houston in the early 90’s.
She joined the development office of her alma mater, Southwestern University, in the fall of 1995. During her 12 year tenure, she served the major gifts office, led the gift and estate planning program, managed the annual giving program and played an integral role in both of the University’s historic fundraising campaigns.
April joined UT’s Gift Planning Team in 2007 to offer direct support to prospective and current donors, professional advisors, and UT development staff in the areas of charitable, estate and tax planning. She returned to Southwestern in October of 2013 as senior director of gift planning.
She has presented at several CASE conferences and her local PPP and AFP chapters. April is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas and has been a Planned Giving Council of Central Texas board member since 2009.
April is married and has 2 sons and volunteers with the Leander Independent School District and the Capital Area Boy Scout Council.
