Charles Scarborough, CFP®, CFRE, is Vice President of Development for The Seton Family of Hospitals and has served  as Executive Director of The Seton Fund since early 2010.  During his short tenure, The Seton Fund closed out the June 30, 2010 fiscal year by raising over $10.7 million towards a $7 million goal.

Charley also served as founding Executive Director of Seton Williamson Foundation since its beginning in 2006.  As of fiscal year ending June 30, 2009, the foundation raised over $5M in support from the Williamson County community.

Charley has been with Seton for eight years, previously working as Director of Planned Giving for The Seton Fund and the Children’s Medical Center Foundation in Austin. Before starting his fundraising career and returning to Austin, Mr. Scarborough enjoyed a career in private banking and trust services in Arizona.

Mr. Scarborough is past President of the National Committee on Planned Giving, Austin Chapter (now, Partnership for Philanthropic Planning). He has served the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy on the board nominating committee, chairing the Foundation Scholarship Committee and as Chair for the Southwest/Rockies Regional Conference.

Charley is a graduate of Round Rock High School and of Texas Christian University. He and his wife Carolyn are the parents of two teenage daughters, Alix and Chloe.
