Steve Saunders is a founding partner of SNPA. He is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law and a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel. He is a frequent speaker at and Course Director for State Bar seminars in the estate planning and probate area.

Steve’s practice is entirely dedicated to estate planning and probate work, and he has done extensive charitable planning with family foundations and community foundations. He serves on the Board of the Austin Community Foundation, his family’s foundation, the Austin High PTSA, and numerous other charities. He is a member of the University of Texas Planned Giving Advisory Council and the University’s Development Board. He has worked with charities and legislators in every session of the Texas legislature since 2001 to preserve the Rule Against Perpetuities.

Mrs. Stanton is a partner of Osborne, Helman, Knebel & Deleery, L.L.P.  Mrs. Stanton specializes in probate and estate planning law and she is board certified in these practice areas.  Her practice includes the representation of individuals  with respect to their estate planning needs and the representation of fiduciaries and beneficiaries with regard to the administration of trusts and estates.  She advises with regard to testamentary and lifetime gift and generation–skipping planning in addition to the use of family business entities, life insurance and life insurance trusts.  She also provides advice concerning post-mortem tax planning, prepares federal estate tax returns and handles state probate proceedings for fiduciaries of estates and guardianships.  In addition, Mrs. Stanton is a Certified Financial Planner® and has more than 14 years’ experience as a Director of Trust Services for a regional bank.

Mr. Knisely is a partner of Osborne, Helman, Knebel & Scott, L.L.P.   His practice primarily involves representing individuals and institutions in litigation, controversies, and appeals arising from and involving trusts, estates, wills, probate matters, and guardianships.  Mr. Knisely also handles appeals of all types of civil matters in both state and federal courts, and he has significant experience in insurance matters, general commercial litigation, and in representing charitable organizations in a variety of controversies.  After law school, Mr. Knisely served as a law clerk to both the Honorable Reynaldo G. Garza, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Honorable Felix Recio, of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Brownsville Division.
