Asset-Based Giving: Creating a Win-Win for Donors and the Charities They Love

Many people think that in order to give more to charity, you have to cut into your personal lifestyle expenses. While sacrificial giving is a wonderful act of altruism, there’s another way to multiply your impact: asset-based giving. By donating non-cash assets such as stocks, real estate, or business interest before the sale, you can reduce taxes and send more to charity that you ever dreamed possible. This presentation will help you understand how generous individuals and families can give more by giving more wisely.
Ryan Assunto is Vice-President of National Christian Foundation Houston, serving the Central Texas region. Ryan is passionate about helping givers experience the life-changing joy of generosity. He is focused on relationship development with individuals, families, professional advisors, and ministry leaders. Ryan is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Communications and of Dallas Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Biblical Counseling. His professional career includes vocational Christian ministry with college students and professional counseling as well as significant involvement in multiple facets of the construction industry. Ryan and his wife, Allison, have lived in Austin since 2004, where they are currently busy raising two young children. They are both active in their local church and multiple community and international service organizations.
